What is what...

****  Wrinkled/Creased Fabric - For Cotton this usually includes wrinkles formed while rolling onto bolt. For Polyester fabric this usually is stretch marks that are formed after being rolled onto a bolt (most will disappear when washed or during stuffing). Also sometimes fabric is randomly creased or wrinkled.

**** End of Bolt Fabric - It will have folds/creases/blemishes from being the last yard on the bolt.

**** Smal Stains - usually from the mill's roller. Most stains are smaller than a dime.

Perfect for many doll patterns recommending 100% cotton.

*** Please Note... This is very light weight fabric. It is used by many professional dollmakers but can be hard to work with. Windsor Comfort - Exclusive Premium Cloth Doll Soft Sculpting Fabric

100% Polyester Knit Fabric, Non-Run Interlock. 60" wide with Crosswise Stretch – about 30% ~ Lengthwise Stretch – about 20%

This fabric is the "Windsor Comfort", sometimes called "country comfort", that many top cloth doll designers used for doll skin during the 1990's and 2000's before it disappeared from the market. We now have it in stock!

"Windsor Comfort is an interlock knit fabric perfect for dollmaking." (Kezi Matthews, 1991)

Deer Suede - Cloth Dollmaking Fabric

60" Wide - 100% Polyester Knit -
Crosswise Stretch – 5% ~ Lengthwise Stretch – 5% (Very little stretch overall)

Deer Suede (aka Buck Suede) is the ideal fabric for many doll making patterns and projects. It is a very durable fabric, easy to handle, easy to stuff and is machine washable.

You may also choose between the smooth side or the softer suede side for your doll skin.

Deer Suede is recommended by many doll designers as a good doll skin fabric for their patterns. Note: If your pattern calls for Guilford Mills Doe Suede (no longer available), Deer Suede is a suitable replacement.

    doll making fabric, unsure of name 100% cotton woven

    The tea dyed color is perfect! I wish I had discovered this fabric sooner.
