Beecher Lady Doll

The Beecher Lady dolls were an off shoot of the Beecher baby dolls and though they call them Beecher Lady dolls there is some questions about who made them.

My reproduction is designed from photos in doll magazines and is as near as possible. She has a stocking head with the heavy embroidery and sculpting. Her clothes are designed to recreate some pictured in the magazine and the hat is a near perfect recreation of an original hat that I was able to re create from a people sized, antique hat I found in a thrift store.

She is about 20" tall and has a cotton cloth body stuffed with wool. Research will be included with the doll. She has been displayed in a clean, smoke free home, and in a few small museums over the past few years.

She is a treasure for an antique and/or modern black doll collection.
