The Dancers by Jan Horrox
A Cloth doll pattern to make two dancers in different positions, a traditional ballerina and one as a seated modern dancer.
The traditional ballerina is an 18" ballerina doll on a stand. She is dressed in a classic tutu with sleek black hair and pink ballet pumps either painted on. She has a wired leg to support her securely.
Included in the pattern is instructions and templates to make a seated dancer seen in the picture in a modern costume. You could also costume her in classic white to be a pair with the ballerina.
You have your choice of making the doll with five finger or mitt hands. She has a four part sculpted head which is painted with colored pencils and fine liner pens. Her tutu is a fine tulle and a wedding lace with a small pattern.
Suitable for a beginner - Minimal fabrics required - some flesh colored cotton, some lace and some tulle. The hair is made from either wool roving and /or fancy yarn.
27 pages of step by step instructions included. Full sized pattern.
