Felting Needles

Felting Needles are the hands tools necessary to do needle felting. Each needle has a long shank with a narrow shaft that has a very sharp tip. The needles have notched barbs on the sides toward the bottom of the shaft. Needle felting is a process which uses barbed needles to interlock wool fibers to form a more condensed material. Wool fibers have scales which when rubbed against each other catch and lock into place to create the denser material called felt!

The needles are made of metal and extremely sharp!

	Size #38 - Starblade · 4-sided needle has more barbs · provides more aggressive action · best needle for wefting process · perfect for mohair
	Size #40 - Triangle · Extra Fine needle for lighter applications · Good for applying eyebrows and mustaches · Good for detail felting, sculpting and smoothing the surface. · Doesn't make large holes in fabric
