Nellie (about 14” tall) is a brand new design by Jill Maas and a little different. Nellie is a thin doll, simply dressed, with a beautiful bird. Try dressing her in different fabrics maybe vintage, bright cottons or wool, it’s easy to change her looks. If you want, you could twist some wire legs for her bird, change her hat or give her different hair.

Her body is made from doll velour, and I used a piece of 'short fur fabric' for hair.

She is so much fun to make!

The pattern is well designed and written.

Nellie is a famously popular Tour Guide Operator in Mangaweka New Zealand, mainly for traveling line dancing groups, she is also well known for cello solos at the local club on Friday nights.

Last year she became a personal shopper for Lady C............. H.......... (confidential) and Nellie also ‘pet sits’ on Tuesdays.
