When the locomotive, coal tender, flat car, tank car, coal car, box car, and caboose are connected, the PLATYPUS Train is 61" long. It's operated by pudgy, bearded, 3½" Trainmen and carries a cargo of balls, blocks, pyramids, and logs.

It's made from pre-quilted cottons, slabs of polyurethane foam, buttons, a zipper and a buckle. It's soft -- except for the circles of scrap plastic that stiffen the wheels. The pattern booklet is crowded with illustrations showing every phase in the development of the locomotive, coal tender, box car, flat car tank car, coal car, caboose, cargo and Trainmen. Arranging the train with its 3 1/2" Train men and cargo of blocks, balls, pyramids and logs into groupings and scenes is fun. It's a natural under the Christmas tree and an unusual item for a raffle. Also would be a lovely center piece on a party table or a one of a kind gift!
