This tutorial and pattern teaches you to make an old time folk art elephant.

The tutorial includes 50 pages with large color photos on each page and the full size pattern with the seam allowances included. The tutorial takes you step by step through the entire process of making a 12” elephant from laying out the pattern, to cutting, pinning, sewing, stuffing and sculpturing the head.

Instructions include directions for eye lids which give the elephant so much character. Full size patterns with seam allowances are included.

Explanations and color photos guide you through the entire process. Instructions for painting and attaching the wooden wheels are also included. He is also adorable standing alone without the wheels.

While the pictured elephant is made from felt, he is also cute made from mohair or cotton nursery fabric.
